A new website is launched today with full details of a Government-backed programme to put UK motorsport on the right track.
The site - www.gmuweb.com - developed for the Government Motorsport Unit by MSO.net of Meopham in Kent - provides updates on projects and details of funding opportunities for skills, business & technology development, widening participation and recruiting volunteer officials.
Adrian Brown of MSO.net said, "We are delighted to be working with the GMU on this project. As one of our highly valued public sector clients, MSO.net has been able to present the GMU with a website which operates on 2 levels: the client-controlled publicly accessible content and a GMU Extranet facility."
Head of the GMU, Graham Brown said, "The website highlights how government, the industry and sport are working together to address critical competitive issues for the UK. I'm sure it will prove to be a valuable resource for everyone involved".
The GMU was formed in November 2003 to implement a 5 year programme to sustain and develop UK motorsport based on the recommendations of the DTI Motorsport Competitiveness Panel, and is directed by an industry-led Motorsport Development Board.
