Introducing the Motorsport 100
The concept
A panel of 100 selected organisations - chosen to represent the full capability of UK motorsport - the 100 will include F1 teams, chassis builders, engine and component makers, venues, education providers and the motorcycle and historic racing sectors.
Quarterly surveys will act as a barometer of opinion, a voice for the industry and generate the Motorsport 100 Index - an indicator of the health of UK motorsport. A media campaign will develop understanding of motorsport as an important industry sector and contributor to the UK economy.
What's the deal?
Member companies undertake to complete a survey, 4 times a year. This is conducted by our partners Experian, who will maintain the confidentiality of individual replies if desired. In return, members will be featured on the website and will have the opportunity to be quoted or featured as exemplars of UK motorsport.
Results
The first survey reveals a UK motorsport industry that is vibrant, innovative and growing. Innovative technological advances developed for the racetrack bring benefits such as reduced weight and increased energy efficiency to sectors as diverse as aerospace, domestic appliances and medicine.
However, the industry also recognises that it needs to improve and extend the ways in which it connects to new customers and other industries in order to grow and deliver these benefits. Visit the website to download the findings. |
